We love giving away lamps—what can we say? If you didn’t win last week, here’s another chance to bring a beautiful, functional piece of lighting into your home. This week’s giveaway features a stylish lamp from a respected local shop, offering both quality and character for any room.

The prize comes from The Shade Shop & Lighting Gallery in Charlottesville, Virginia. This well-curated gallery showcases a rotating selection of table lamps, floor lamps, chandeliers, sconces, occasional tables and a wide variety of lamp shades. They also carry new designer lines, including a fresh shipment of Bunny Williams lamps that have generated a lot of excitement. Beyond ready-made options, The Shade Shop provides custom lampwork and repair services, so you can commission a unique light fixture or have a beloved piece restored if it needs attention.

This week we’re giving away an antique-nickel-clad Lucy Accent Lamp, a compact and elegant lamp valued at $298. It’s a piece that suits many decorating styles—traditional, transitional, or modern—and its durable finish should stand up well to everyday use. The Lucy Accent Lamp adds a subtle metallic sheen and refined silhouette to side tables, bedside stands, or console tables.

To enter this lamp giveaway, simply comment on this post with the words “GIMME A LIGHT” by Wednesday, March 4th at 8pm EST. We welcome one entry per email address. The prize can be shipped to addresses within the lower 48 United States. When you leave your entry comment, tell us what you loved most about your college hometown—whether it was the vibrant downtown, the campus architecture, the local restaurants, or outdoor spaces that made the town special to you.

Charlottesville holds a special place in my heart—after all, it was once recognized as one of the best places to live in the U.S.—and I could talk at length about its walkable neighborhoods, rich cultural scene and historic charm. Sherry’s college town, New York City, is unforgettable for entirely different reasons: it’s where we met and where the energy of the city leaves a lasting impression. We’d love to hear your memories and what made your college town meaningful to you when you enter.

This giveaway is a chance to add a thoughtfully designed accent lamp to your decor while celebrating local craftsmanship and lighting expertise. The Shade Shop & Lighting Gallery’s combination of curated products and custom services makes them a great partner for anyone looking to elevate their home lighting. Whether you’re updating a reading nook, brightening a bedroom or enhancing a living room vignette, the Lucy Accent Lamp offers both style and practical illumination.
