Blogiversary Celebration: Deals, Giveaways & Highlights

[ad_1]

Young House Love turns two this week — yes, two whole years (cue the proud-parent noises). It feels like only yesterday we were celebrating our very first blogiversary, and yet here we are: two years of documenting projects, sharing triumphs and fails, and getting to know an incredible community of readers. Time really does fly when you’re having a blast.

To mark our second anniversary, we’ve planned a special week of blogiversary posts that look back on the highlights, lessons, and moments that defined year two. Expect a mix of favorite projects, milestone recaps, behind-the-scenes stories, and giveaways. We’re especially excited about the blogiversary prize we’ll announce later today — it’s something we think you’ll love. We’ll also be asking for your thoughts on what you’d like to see Young House Love evolve into as we head into year three, because this blog has always been a conversation, not just a bulletin.

Most of all, we want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you. When we started this blog to chronicle a kitchen remodel, we never imagined it would grow into the full-time endeavor it is today. Your comments, emails, and encouragement turned a small project journal into a community and, ultimately, into a career that lets us do what we love every day. Your enthusiasm literally keeps us grinning — the level of joy you send our way is the stuff of pageant smiles, minus the shimmer and sashes.

It’s been surprising and humbling to see where your support has taken us over the past year. We didn’t expect to be mentioned on major outlets like CNN, featured on HGTV, included in the pages of the New York Times, or to have our home appear on the cover of a national magazine. Each of those moments felt surreal — like someone gently pinching us to make sure we weren’t imagining things. Yet beyond the thrill of publicity, what matters most is that this blog allows us to support our family while continuing to share decorating ideas, renovation how-tos, and the occasional goofy road-trip photo.

Being able to turn a passion for home improvement and design into something that helps put food on the table (and keeps Burger’s bowl filled) is a gift we don’t take for granted. Every comment, every e-mail, and every shared project inspires us and helps fuel the next idea. We read your feedback, learn from your suggestions, and borrow your creative energy. That two-way exchange is the foundation of what Young House Love has become.

As we celebrate this milestone, our promise to you is simple: more honest, useful home improvement tutorials; more approachable decorating inspiration; and more of the everyday stories that make renovating and styling a home both challenging and rewarding. We’ll continue sharing mistakes alongside wins, quick DIY fixes next to full-scale projects, and the kind of real-life solutions that actually work for people living in real homes.

We also want to hear from you. What topics would you like us to explore next year? Would you prefer more step-by-step guides, budget-friendly makeovers, organizational tips, or deeper dives into design principles? Tell us what would make Young House Love more helpful, more inspiring, or more fun for you as we plan our third year.

Once again — from the bottom of our hearts — thank you for being part of this journey. Your support has transformed a simple blog into a thriving, interactive space where home improvement and decorating ideas are shared, debated, and celebrated. Here’s to another year full of projects, learning, and laughter. We hope to repay your enthusiasm with even more valuable content, creative ideas, and weekly treats you’ll enjoy.

The goofy two-themed photos are from our Texas road trip, which you can virtually join us on in our travel posts.
